Tuesday GroupPumpkins, ghosts and monsters are in the air at group these last two weeks. We have had so much fun getting ready for Halloween. Last week we cleaned a pumpkin inside and out and talked about how it felt. Some of us thought it was hard, bumpy and very slimy on the inside of course! We then used one of our pumpkins to do an obstacle course. Children had to climb over chairs and under tables without dropping the pumpkin. We also read a book about making witches’ brew and made a ghost out of a balloon and sand. They were really fun to hold and squeeze during our story. This week we continued our fun with Halloween by making green monster slime, going on a scary, spooky scavenger hunt in the dark and playing Halloween memory. Snack was the highlight of the day because we made (and ate!!) bloody eyeballs. The children used doughnut holes, gummy life savers, chocolate chips and red icing to create some very scary looking eyeballs that tasted great! We can’t wait to continue our Halloween adventures next Tuesday! |
